Get to
know Zoe

Zoe Starmer-Hudson is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

After experiencing early menopause following cancer treatment for cervical cancer at just 34, Zoe joined a cervical cancer support group and soon found herself helping other women understand their symptoms and treatment effects.

A decade later, friends and patients were still coming to her for advice — proof of how many women struggle to find clear, trustworthy menopause guidance.

That realisation inspired Zoe to become a menopause specialist, and create a safe, welcoming, evidence-based space where women can learn, share and regain confidence in their bodies.

What is Bioidentical Hormone replacement Therapy

Bioidentical hormones are compounds designed to be structurally similar to the hormones naturally produced by the body. Some are available as licensed medicines in the UK, while others may be specially prepared (compounded) following an individual prescription.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is one of several treatment options that may be considered as part of menopause care. Following a thorough clinical assessment, hormone therapy may be offered to help manage symptoms associated with hormonal changes.

Treatment plans are tailored to the individual and may include different types and doses of hormones, depending on clinical need. All treatment is provided with appropriate monitoring to ensure safety and suitability.

What is the Difference Between Body Identical HRT and Compounded BHRT?

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is commonly used to help manage menopause symptoms. Many modern hormone treatments use hormones that are structurally identical to those naturally produced by the body.

Body identical HRT usually refers to licensed hormone medications available in the UK, including patches, gels, sprays, and progesterone capsules. These treatments are regulated and commonly prescribed within NHS and private menopause care.

Compounded Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) refers to hormone treatments individually prepared by a specialist pharmacy following a personalised prescription. These treatments may be tailored to the individual’s symptoms, hormone profile, and clinical needs.

Following a thorough consultation, our menopause specialist will discuss the most appropriate treatment options for you, including potential benefits, risks, and suitability based on your medical history and symptoms.

All treatment is provided with appropriate clinical monitoring and ongoing review to ensure safety and suitability.
