Menopause Treatment Pathway
At The Coach House Clinic, we provide personalised menopause care tailored to your symptoms, medical history and treatment goals. Our treatment pathway is designed to ensure safe, effective and ongoing support throughout your menopause journey.
1. Initial Consultation
Your menopause specialist will carry out a detailed assessment including your current symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, previous treatments and personal treatment goals. This consultation allows us to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
2. Blood Tests
Where clinically appropriate, blood tests may be recommended to help assess hormone levels, thyroid function, nutritional deficiencies and overall health markers. Testing options may include home testing kits, clinic appointments or nurse home visits. Please note that blood tests are not required for every patient.
3. Results & Treatment Plan (Approximately 1–2 Weeks)
Your specialist will review your results and discuss the most suitable treatment options for you. Where appropriate, a personalised treatment plan may include Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), testosterone therapy and lifestyle or nutritional guidance. If treatment is suitable, your prescription will be arranged following your consultation.
4. Start Treatment
Your medication will be prepared and delivered to you, allowing you to begin treatment as advised by your menopause specialist. Your specialist will also provide guidance regarding how to take your medication, expected benefits, possible side effects and ongoing monitoring.
5. Follow-Up Review (Approximately 6 Weeks)
A follow-up consultation will be arranged to review your progress, assess symptom improvement, discuss any side effects and make any necessary treatment adjustments. This helps ensure your treatment remains safe and effective.
6. Follow-Up Blood Tests (Approximately 6–12 Weeks)
Where indicated, repeat blood tests may be recommended to monitor hormone levels, assess treatment response and ensure safe optimisation of therapy. Monitoring requirements may vary depending on the treatment prescribed.
7. Ongoing Reviews
Once treatment is stable, ongoing reviews may be arranged periodically to ensure continued symptom control, safe prescribing, treatment optimisation and ongoing patient support.
